Training period:
After
leaving Partie Marseille Marignane on Saturday March 15th 1997 at
6h30, I arrived via Paris and Oslo (where the sea was still frozen
in places !) in Stavanger in the late afternoon, where I was met by
Ellen Norvick a Norwegian and English teacher who spoke French fliently
and was to accompany me throughout my stay, which was extremely helpful.
She showed me around the school briefly and then on sunday 16th around
the Stavanger area.
On March 17th, 18th et 19th I worked at the STAVANGER VK MARITIM SKOLE
: presentation , meetings; in the auditorium I gave a talk (in English!)
for my Norwegian colleagues on the purpose of my visit and presented
my school and the French school system. I also heard presentations
from students in Mrs Norvick, Mr Olsen and Mr Dalchung's classes.
We rounded off the day with a visit to the town in the snow !!
On March 22nd I got a very warm welcome in the homes of the colleagues
from the school and then at the headmaster's home in a lighthouse
in Hâ : many projects were envisaged in the process.
I returned to France on Sunday March 23rd via Copenhagen and Paris.
