The work will be carried out simultaneously
in each school and will be synchronised using current means of telecommunications.
EEP PROJECT
- Organisation of the project
and search for partners, both schools and businesses, from September
1997 and September 1998
- Preparatory meeting with
all the partners in September 1998
- Then from September 98
to June 2000, the European Education Project itself.
Phase 1 : in each partner school, a meteorological
station will be designed, putting the students' knowledge
into practice : sensors, automatisms, physics measurements, calculations
and so on... At the same time, by means of information technology
and Internet, the students from the different schools will be encouraged
to communicate with each other (exchange of information on their
identity, home-towns, lives and cultures) and the companies involved
in the project will be introduced.
Phase
2 : in each
of the schools, the meteorological station will be developed with
the same targets for recording parameters. Apparently this should
not raise any major issues. In parallel, the students will
acquire further knowledge in areas relating to the project : meteorology,
languages and information technology amongst other subjects.
Phase
3 : the
data will be used and the parameters recorded be made available
on the school Internet server. The data will be continuously
updated and transmitted to the partner schools in the form of computer
files. Thus the use and management of data will stimulate the students'
interest in technical and cultural exchanges via Internet.
