EUROPEAN EDUCATION PROJECT Each school carries out the same work simultaneously although there is a certain degree of independance. Current modes of telecommunications are used to synchronise the activities. . Phase 1 : Each
partner school designs its own weather station, applying the theoretical
knowledge of the students : sensors, various automatic functioning
systems, physical measurements, calculations. Phase 2 : Each partner school develops and assembles its own weather station with the aim of recording the same parameters. At the same time, the partnership with the companies will enable us to increase our knowledge of topics which are specifically linked to the project such as meteorology, languages, information technology and so on. Phase 3 : Each partner school designs its own project website both in its own language and in English. The websites can then be accessed via the common site. Phase 4 : The websites include the students homepages as well as other items. Some of the schools, including l’Estaque, also show pages of information about the weather. The data on the work stations can be consulted by Internet – it will be continuously updated and sent to the other schools in the form of computer files. Thus the use and management of data should motivate our students to develop technical and cultural exchanges via Internet which in turn should lead to a real exchange programme between the schools involved. Over and above the scope of the education project we should be thinking in terms of meetings and exchanges between our students and the staff teams… |
